Overview

NFT Collections are Solana-based smart contracts that enable community members to create unlimited artwork using your provided images, then bind their creations to mintable NFTs with flexible or permanent connections.

Blockchain Integration: Requires Solana wallet connection. Collections are deployed as Core NFT smart contracts with Metaplex standards.

Collection Creation Process

Basic Setup

Choose Creator Mode

Canvas Mode: Full creative freedom with asset placement, drawing tools, and effects
Fixed Mode: Structured trait selection from predefined layers (PFP only, single asset pack)

Configure Collection Details

Name: Collection title (max 64 characters)
Slug: URL identifier (3-32 characters, letters/numbers/underscores, cannot be changed after creation)
Collection Image: Banner image representing your collection
End Time: Optional collection closure date

Set Canvas & Asset Restrictions

Canvas Sizes: PFP, Landscape, Portrait, X Post, X Banner
Image Packs: Select which image packs members can use
Canvas Settings: Control available tools and features

NFT Collection Settings

Collection Metadata

Core Information

NFT Name: Collection name for blockchain (max 32 characters)
NFT Symbol: Token symbol (max 10 characters)
NFT Description: Detailed collection description (max 512 characters)
External URL: Link to collection website or landing page

Creator Settings

Creator Address: Solana wallet address for collection ownership
Collection Size: Maximum number of NFTs (1 to 1,000,000)
Royalty Fee: Marketplace royalties (0-10%)
Royalty Distribution: Revenue split between collection and image creators

Mint Settings

Mint Price: Cost to mint each NFT
Mint Token: SOL (native) or custom SPL/Token2022
Mint Active: Enable/disable minting functionality
Start Time: When minting becomes available

Bind Price: Cost to bind/rebind images to NFTs
Bind Token: SOL (native) or custom SPL/Token2022

Custom SPL Token Support

Token Address Validation: Automatic verification of token addresses
Token Metadata: Auto-fetch token name, symbol, decimals, and image
Token Type Detection: Distinguishes between fungible tokens and NFTs
Free vs Paid: Set price to 0 for free mint/bind with custom tokens

Token Requirements

Custom token mint prices must be > 0 (use SOL for free minting)
Token addresses must be valid Solana public keys
NFT tokens cannot be used as payment tokens
Automatic decimals detection for proper price calculation
